From over 30 years history at the Rio de Janeiro suburb, Batata de Marechal remains one of the main meeting points for street food at Rio de Janeiro North Zone. Before the “ADM Lanches” brand existed, Mr. Ademar – entrepreneur and founder of the gastronomic point – usually sold lemons on carioca city trains. On the same rail transport that today takes thousands of people to Marechal Hermes neighborhood, the average time spent by those coming from downtown is 25 minutes, 24 kilometers away. According to Mr. Ademar, one ton potato is sold daily, and served in 3 kilos plastic bags.
